Ignite Columbus 4 will be a part of the Ohio Growth Summit festivities.
Last year, the Ohio Growth Summit featured Chris Brogan. This year is sure to be another great one. And Ignite Columbus 4 is your way to get involved. Share your ideas with growth minded folks by volunteering to speak at Ignite Columbus 4. Submit your proposal here.
After Party? Check. We’ll be heading to Park Street Patio after Ignite. Park Street has generously provided us two cabanas from 9 – 10 pm, beer and pizza (limited quatity). You’ll definitely want to come and continue the conversation and talk about the talks.
Audience? Check. Thanks to those who have registered. And to those that haven’t yet, what are you waiting for. Look at all the stuff we’re providing. And the ticket is free.
We say we’ll open the doors at 6 PM. But make sure to come early so you can mingle and meet people. Also, remember the 315 construction. I have no idea what it’s like, so you’ll definitely want to account for plan for the delay.
Detailed driving and parking instructions can be found on the PodCamp Ohio site.
I apoligize to all for not getting this list out earlier, but here’s the list of speakers talking at Ignite Columbus 3. But before I list them, I want to thak everyone that submitted a topic. Due to time constraints, we had to limit the number of speakers for this event, but I think that will make for a better experience for everyone in attendance since it will give people an opportunity to mingle more. For those that were not selected this time around, please don’t be discouraged. We will be doing more Ignites and would love for you to submit again. After all, it is you that make the events rock.

A huge thank you to ELEVATE thinking and Sandbox Columbus for agreeing to provide food and beverages for Ignite Columbus 3. Since Dan and I asked them to get the food directly, I can guarantee their selection will rock.
ELEVATE thinking™ is a Brand Design and Marketing Agency that focuses on the development of compelling consumer experiences and break-through brand innovation. We do this by uniquely blending effective marketing strategy with break-out creativity.
When you were a kid, the sandbox was where you went to play and create with others. And if you weren’t in the mood to be social, you did your own thing.
That’s the premise of coworking at Sandbox Columbus.
It’s where entrepreneur and independent developers, writers, scientists, marketers, attorneys, small business owners, and others, have a collective place to work. So you can work solo for the day and knock out your to-do list, or pull people together to brainstorm. It’s the benefit of an office without the politics or stress of setting up your own place.
Join us on Monday June 1 from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM at the Winking Lizard Tavern at 1380 Bethel Road to help us select the speakers for Ignite Columbus 3.
If you’re thinking of presenting at Ignite Columbus 3, why not watch the Ignite Show for inspiration and an idea of the types of talks we, and I hope you, are looking for.
Here’s the initial Ignite Show presentation of Jason Grigsby talking about how Cup Noodle was created and how the team had to embrace constraints and new ideas to create this new food. Enjoy.
Hooray! Your local Ignite organizers finally got off their butts and scheduled Ignite Columbus 3. Actually, we were prodded by the good folks organizing PodCamp Ohio. Thus, we’ll be doing Ignite the night before PodCamp Ohio.
For Ignite Columbus 3, we’ll be limiting the number of talks to 8-10, and are asking people to “vote” on what they want to hear.
Don’t worry. It won’t be a popularity contest. We’ll use the votes as a guideline and will use our best judgment, with the help of some trusted and outspoken friends, to pick interesting talks.
Thanks to everyone that came out to Ignite Columbus 2. Thanks also to our speakers and our sponsors, lextant and edgecase. And finally, thanks to Motion Drift for taking video of our event. We’re looking forward to seeing the videos. In the meantime, here’s some photos from Ignite Columbus 2.
Ignite Columbus 2 will be Thursday, January 22 Wednesday, January 21 at lextant. We are actively seeking sponsors to upgrade on the pizza and pop served at Ignite Columbus 1. Think beer. Not cheap. Dan and I love you, but not that much.
UPDATE: Yea, we’ve got one sponsor already – EdgeCase.
